1. Intro:
Question5 Campus Situation Topic: Problem/Solution
The listening passage (60-90 sec; 180-220 words) is a conversation about a student-related problem and two possible solutions.
The question asks the test taker to demonstrate understanding of the problem and to express an opinion about solving the problem.
o Preparation time: 20 sec
o Response time: 60 sec

a. Problem of a time conflict between a and b

b. Preference: ____=a balanced solution (既a又b)

托福口語第五題答題方法
首先聽到一段對話，應對這類題需要邊聽對話邊記筆記，當然這也就是要求我們平時訓練好自己的速記能力。在速記過程中把握好重點環節。第一，對話中探討的問題是什么?第二，對話中提出了怎樣的解決方案?第三，解決方案中各自存在怎樣的利弊?找到了這樣的重點內容，也就可以讓我們清晰的掌握了文章的脈絡。
在托福口語第五題中，還是有著比較固定的。比如在以下內容中：briefly describe the problem that was discussed in the conversation and to state which of the two solutions you prefer, and explain why you prefer that solution”.
托福口語第五題答題思路
很多人曾經也抱怨過，第五題的內容貌似不難，但是最容易遇到的問題就是，大費周章最不能拿到最好的分數。原因很簡單，和考生的英語水平未必相關，而是應答思路出了問題。建議大家在備考過程中，對每個解決方案的好處和弊端勤加練習，理清表達思路。
托福口語考試的6部分
口語考試共有6道題目，大約20分鐘。
前兩題要求考生在聽/看到題目15秒內準備，在之后緊接著的45秒內回答。
第一題是講述考試身邊的事情。比如你尊敬的一個人及原因，你喜歡的一本書及原因，你印象深刻的一個活動/典禮及原因。
第二題是二選一或支持/反對某一觀點的問題，非常像舊托福TWE185的題目。
第三、四題會給考生45秒來讀一段閱讀材料，之后閱讀材料不再顯示，讓考生聽一段1分多鐘的相關錄音材料。然后要考生根據閱讀和聽力材料回答問題。考生有30秒鐘準備，60秒鐘回答。
第三題的閱讀材料較常見的是學校貼出了一張通知/告示，說要采取某方面的新措施、新政策。然后列舉原因。聽力材料則是學生對新措施、新政策的討論。
第四題的閱讀材料和聽力材料一般都是學術問題。
第五題和第六題考生會聽到1分多種的聽力材料，然后根據聽力材料回答問題。考生有20秒鐘準備，60秒鐘回答。第五題較多見的是一個學生遇到了問題，另一個學生(或老師)幫助出主意，一般來說會提出兩個主意，然后考生除了會被要求復述場景相關內容外，還要指出你覺得那一個方案更好，并簡單說說理由。
第六題是一個學術段子。
