在《速度與激情》系列電影的主力演員保羅·沃克意外去世后，電影制作方希望通過(guò)制作一首歌曲以紀(jì)念和緬懷保羅[2] 。作為該歌曲制作人之一的查理·普斯在2014年7月寫(xiě)了一段基本的歌詞，并將歌名取為《See You Again》，創(chuàng)作過(guò)程僅用時(shí)十分鐘。之后在多次改動(dòng)下，才有了正式版本的誕生。
