研究生英語口語面試題(一)
第一個經常問得話題是考研原因通常我們可以從以下三個方面來回答。
1) 興趣，即強調對所報考的專業懷有極大的興趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就讀的專業與報考的專業一致，則可以說明想繼續深造(further education)的愿望。如果不一致，則要說明報考專業對你的吸引力(…appeals to/attracts me a lot)。
2) 優勢，即強調研究生相對于本科生在知識、學術方面的優勢，如：知識面更廣(wider knowledge)，學術更專業(more professional)，眼界更廣闊等(broaden one’s horizon)。
3) 益處，即強調考研對你的未來的積極影響(have a positive effect on…)，可以從求職、職業規劃、人生經歷等方面入手進行說明。可參考的詞匯、短語如下：be helpful, contribute to, be beneficial to, be conductive to, be a definite advantage, become a strong point when it comes to…等等。
對于那些在職考生或有工作經驗的考生來說，考官更傾向于提問他們為什么(放棄工作而)重新學習。考生可以直言在工作發現某些知識或技能很重要，希望能通過學習在這些方面進行提高(In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school and improve myself。)。

考官有時會詢問考生對未來的一些規劃，其目的在于試探考生是否對時間、學習、人生有一定計劃性和掌控能力。
1) 學習規劃。關于這一話題，考官通常會以一種較婉轉的方式提問，如：What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolled into this university? 回答這一類的問題時，不僅僅要回答想學到什么樣的知識、成為什么樣的人，最好能夠稍微說說你會/計劃怎樣學習(即學習方法)。無論是傾向于學術理論性的還是側重于實驗研究性的，都要把握一個原則：理論聯系實際，同時主次分明。
2) 職業生涯規劃。職業生涯規劃其實就是明確自己未來的職業方向，雖然考官不常對此提問(基本上也是提問考生對所報考專業的就業前景持何種態度)，但是這個話題實際上涉及了一個人對自己的性格、天賦、興趣、能力以及社會現狀進行綜合分析的能力，還同時也可以看出他對自己未來人生的一種期望、信念和熱情，因此考生也可對此稍做準備，甚至可以將其放在自我介紹中(不建議口語不太理想的考生這樣做)。
需要注意的是，職業生涯規劃一定要根據自己的實際情況加以定奪，尤其要注意與所報考專業的契合度。
研究生英語口語面試題(三)
自我介紹。要求簡潔、有新意，能夠讓考官記住你。最重要的是，發音要準，不要太快，以別人聽懂為目的。但注意一定要聽考官的指示語，聽到考官說：Can you introduce yourself briefly/ say something about yourself后再開始。其實現在許多口語考試為了避免考生背誦準備好的自我介紹，都去除了這個部分，而是由一些簡單問題來代替，如：
Where are you from? Could you say something about your hometown?
Could you say something about your family?
What do you usually do in your leisure time?
What’s your favorite TV program?
Who is the most important person in your family?
"What would you like to be doing five years after graduation?"("在畢業以后5年內你想做些什么?")
Know what you can realistically accomplish. You can find out by talking to others MBA about what they accomplished in their first five years with a particular company after graduation.
"I hope to do my best I can be at my job and because many in this line of work are promoted to area manager, I am planning on that also."
"What is your greatest strength"?" ("你最突出的優點是什么?")

你不應該說你沒有任何弱點，以此來回避這個問題;每個人都有弱點。最佳策略是承認你的弱點，但同時表明你在予以改進，并有克服弱點的計劃。
可能的話，你可說出一項可能會給公司帶來好處的弱點，如可說："我是一個完美主義者。研究做得不漂亮，我是不會撒手的。"
"How do you feel about your progress to date?" ("對于你至今所取得的進步你是怎樣看的?") Never apologize for what you have done.
"I think I did well in school. In fact, in a number of courses I received the highest exam scores in the class."
絕不要對你以前的所作所為表示內疚。
如可答："我認為我在學校表現不錯。事實上，有好幾門功課我的成績居全班第一。
結束
考官明確說出：This is the end of the test, thank you。說明考試正式結束。站起來，拿好自己的東西，如準考證，與考官說再見：Thank you, goodbye. 或Thank you for your interview goodbye. 然后離開。注意考試結束后不要問老師關于得分的問題，應該馬上禮貌的離開。 你為什么考我們這個學校?
這是在考查你對目標院校的了解情況。
答案要點：興趣+該校該專業名氣和實力+該專業老師的實力。
