1選擇一個目標進行突破
經過對學習效率低的原因分析，找出自己的癥結所在。首先選擇其中較為可行的一項進行重點突破。某些學生在接受長輩一頓訓斥后，立即制定一個宏大的學習計劃，其實這種計劃十有八九是執行不下去的，要根據自己的實際情況，從某一方面進行突破。
2實行新的學習程序
如果你的癥結是行為拖拉，為克服這個缺點你就應該給自己訂一個規則，每天不完成預訂的任務不睡覺;如果原因是對英語不感興趣，則首先努力去改變單調枯燥的學習方法，將英語學習與工作、娛樂、陶冶性情結合起來，堅持一段時間后，隨著良好習慣的形成，學習興趣就會逐漸濃厚。
3要盡可能的形成如下學習習慣
(1)養成提問的好習慣。它不僅有助于語言學習，也是個人成長的好習慣。
(2)學習時要經常準備好學習的工具，如字典、軟件、記錄本等，將不明白的地方隨時記錄下來或者直接進行查閱。
(3)將經常出錯的地方記錄在一個小本上，不斷溫習鞏固，并避免重復犯錯;將朗讀作為每天早晨起來以后的一個習慣動作。
