20171021雅思大作文題目：
Some people think young people are not suitable for important positions in the government, while other people think it is a good idea for young people to take on these positions. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
范文：
A government whose most important service is to aggregate funds for common good should consist of officials with many valuable traits, including sense of responsibility, intelligence, integrity, etc. In my view, young people are qualified to work for the government but not eligible to take on important positions.
Admittedly, the government needs creative thoughts from young minds. As the world is changing rapidly due to the advancement of science and progress of society, the government has to timely reexamine whether their present policies are adaptable for current situation and adjust accordingly. However, it is usually challenging for people older than forty to make a change and learn new things, which is exactly what young people are good at. Thus, for a government to be full of vitality and vigor, it needs young people to contribute their new ideas and drive for constant changes.
However, to work in decisive positions of a government requires more qualities that young people may not possess. Any decision made by the government will exert huge impact on its country or even the whole world for decades, which necessitate the decision maker’s experience, insight and foresight. Youngsters, on the contrary, not only lack those qualities but also usually act on impulse. Failing to give full consideration to details and possible consequences, youngsters may cause troubles soon or later. Their weakness clearly shows that they need time to accumulate experiences and become qualified.
In summary, although young people’s creativity and vitality is highly appreciated, they are not ready for important positions in the government.
