　　Five For Fighting這個奇怪的名字代表的并不是一支樂隊，而只是一名原名為John Ondrasik的歌手，出生于洛杉磯圣法蘭多山谷地區，母親是鋼琴教師，因此在Ondrasik兩歲的時候就已經開始了音樂方面的培訓，13歲的時候Ondrasik開始彈吉他并寫歌，97年Ondrasik以Five For Fighting作為自己的藝名，發行了第一張專輯，Ondrasik不僅是歌手和作曲家，還是吉他手和鋼琴家，也是一個針砭時弊的人和一個評論家。

　　Chances 選自EP《Chances》，是電影《弱點》的片尾曲，由美國著名創作歌手Five For Fighting所演唱，歌曲配合影片的勵志情緒賺足了觀眾的眼淚。興趣廣泛的John Ondrasik甚至還專門學習過唱歌劇，但過了不久，他就發現歌劇并不是他真正喜歡的，最吸引他的還是比利·喬(Billy Joel)，旅行樂隊(Journey)，埃爾頓·約翰(Elton John)，史蒂夫·旺德(Stevie Wonder)和Earth, Wind & Fire樂隊的音樂。
