第一節 基礎寫作(共1小題，滿分15分) Guangdong Province, also called Yue for short, has a long history and is known for the saying, “Don’t hesitate to have meals here.” Located by the South Sea in the southeast part of mainland China, it has quite a few islands off its coastline which has a total length of 3,368 kilometres. Known as a fruit king, Guangdong Province is famous for its high-quality bananas, sugar cane, lychees and pineapples. It is also one of the most developed industrial provinces in South China, with convenient transportation both on land and water. It has several special economic zones such as Shenzhen, Zhuhai , Shantou and so on.

Zhang Tong I am so glad that you have seen some pictures of the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 The Opening Ceremony was held on the night of November 12, 2010, and over 7,000 performers participated in it. Different from the previous opening ceremonies of Asian Games, the stage that night was not inside a stadium, but outdoor on the Haixinsha Island in the Pearl River. All of the performances were impressive, but the one highlighted most was the 9-minute show Sail on the Clouds, during which the 180 performers were suspended/hung in the air as high as 80 metres to complete their performances. Finally, the main cauldron was lit by a big firecracker. The Opening Ceremony was so thrilling and amazing that I couldn’t help having myself cheering and applauding all through the performances
