During my summer holiday in 2003, I found a part-time job as a cleaner in KFC. I did not realize that it was not an easy job before I didit.
I had to work seven hours a day, which would last three weeks. The job was tiring and boring because I had to get up early and went to bed late. Every day I had to repeat the same work, which nearly made me mad. I almost gave it up, but finally I sticked it out until thenew semester began. The experience taught me a lesson that there is no free lunch.
I have to work hard to get what I want. So the experience is very meaningful and I know the value of labour.

In my opinion, it is a great idea having a job while we are University students. Finally, we can have our own money. We don't have to ask for money from our parents.
On the other hand, earning our own money grows up our personality. It changes our perspectives in life. We will get more responsibilities. We have to change daily program. We will see that we will think twice before spending money on something we don't necessarily need.
A job during school times is hard work for us. That's why it is better for us to take a job while we are on vacation. We will see that our parents will treat us as we were an adult person. They will trust us more. We will have more self-trust. Finally, they will be more proud of us. Now, we can help the others that helped us when we needed it.First of all, having a job helps us to improve our relationship with our fellowmen. We will learn to listen to the others. We will learn to be sure patience and tolerant. If we were an introvert person, we will become more sociable and we will learn how to communicate. We know communication is a base rule of a modern society.
When we get a job while we are students, we have to think first if we can handle it. We must be very exacting with ourselves. Because we know work is hard. It takes time and patience. It asks for a lot of effort.

Taking a Part-Time Job Nowadays, many people think that college students should take a part-time job for several advantages. For one thing, it gives the students a chance to know the society to learn to be independent. For another, they can also get financial reward and working experience as well, such as teaching or selling practice, which is helpful to their growth. What's more, they can put what they have learned into practice, and know their strong and weak points so that they can improve their studies and personalities, which are beneficial in their later lives. However, still many people think taking part-time job may have some negative effects on students. In their opinions, it will take them much time and energy, and will affect their studies as a result. What's worse, some students may be so keen on making money that they may neglect their studies in the end. In my opinion, I am in favor of taking a part-time job. But we have to keep a balance between the job and the study. After all, study is our main task at school.

Should college students do part-time jobs?
In many countries it is common for teenagers to take part-time jobs while they are still in high school, while in other societies this is virtually unheard of. In the latter situation, students are expected to spend all of their time on their studies and consider schoolwork their "job". In my opinion, students benefit more from a more balanced lifestyle, which may include working at a part-time job. Therefore, I believe that it is a good idea for students to work while studying.
While it is true that a student's most important goal must be to learn and to do well at his studies, it does not need to be the only goal. In fact, a life which consists of only study is not balanced and may cause the student to miss out on other valuable learning experiences. In addition to bringing more balance to a student's life, part-time work can broaden his range of experience. He will have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and will be faced with a wider variety of problems to solve. Furthermore, work helps a student to develop greater independence, and earning his own pocket money can teach him how to handle his finances. Finally, a part-time job can help a student to develop a greater sense of responsibility, both for his own work and for that of the team he works with.
For all of these reasons, I firmly believe that most students would benefit from taking a part-time job while they are in high school. Of course, they must be careful not to let it take up too much of their time because study is still their primary responsibility. In sum, living a balanced life is the best way to be successful.
