Dancing is a popular pastime to many people all over the world. Way back to past centuries, and even today, tribal people engage in dancing as a form of worship or as a part of a ceremony in a celebration. On such occasions, dancing can be very solemn. In modern times, dancing appeals to different people for different reasons.
Young people often include dancing in parties or at other social gatherings. It seems to be an incentive for them to gather. They look forward to dancing into the night during parties without feeling fatigue.
To the elderly, the steps in dancing are reduced with a slower tempo in the music. They gather in community centers to learn folk dance and, at the same time, to know one another in such informal interactions.
Personally, I doubt the effectiveness of dancing as a major role in keeping one's body healthy and in good shape. Activities such as jogging, swimming and playing games are more effective for attaining good health. They can burn off calories in our bodies and develop our muscles. To me, there are more meaningful and effective ways to keep fit.

There are many ways of traveling. People may travel by plane if they want to travel far and reach their destination in a shorter time. It is the most comfortable but expensive way. Bus journey is a cheaper way but it is spent on narrow, bumpy roads which are crowded with traffic. Trips by ship may be the cheapest and most comfortable way but it takes too much time.
I like traveling by bike. I can set out when I like and stop when I like. I can go wherever I like so that I can enjoy delightful spots rarely visited by other travelers. When I feel tired, I sit down by the bike and have a good rest. Besides, I can save much money for tickets and much time in waiting for the train or bus. I can cover more places by riding a bike than going on foot.
Traveling by bike is good to health. It is really a sort of good exercise to strengthen one's muscles and to test one's will. Moreover, it brings no pollution to the air. So it helps to clean the atmosphere.

But people differ as to the advantages and disadvantages of the tourist industry. Those who are in favour of tourism argue that our country can benefit a lot from it. For one thing, it is a large source of foreign exchange and an important part of national planning as well. For another, we may well say that tourism can help to promote the understanding and friendship among the peoples of different countries.
The main reason why some people oppose tourism is that the masses cannot benefit from it because the pressure of too many tourists means the higher prices of goods.
In spite of this, I think its gains outweigh its losses. It also means more employment and more income for the country. For this reason the tourist industry should be developed vigorously so as to meet the needs of our socialist economy.
