Plants are very important living things.
植物是非常重要的生物。
Life could not go on if there were no plants.
如果沒(méi)有植物,生命也就無(wú)法維持下去了。
This is because plants can make food from air, waterand sunlight.
因?yàn)橹参锟梢岳每諝馑完?yáng)光制造養(yǎng)料，
Animals and man cannot make food from air,waterand sunlight.
而動(dòng)物和人卻不能利用空氣,水和陽(yáng)光制造食物。
Animals get their food by eating plants and other animals.
動(dòng)物的食物來(lái)源于植物和其他動(dòng)物。
Man gets his food by eating plants and animals,too.
人也是以植物和動(dòng)物為食的。
Therefore,animals and man need plants in order to live.
因此，動(dòng)物和人需要植物來(lái)維持生命。
If you look carefully at the plants around you,
如果仔細(xì)觀察周圍的植物，
you will find that there are many types of plants.
你就會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)它們種類繁多，
Some plants are large while others are small. Most plants are green.
有大有小，多數(shù)是綠色的。
Plants,like all living things, need air,water and sunlight.

Plants do not grow well when they are close together.
