Recently, the five-game match betweenGoogle's AlphaGo and Lee Sedol, the World Go Champion, ended in overwhelmingvictory with 4 to 1, which has provoked considerable controversies about theeffects that AI impacts in our daily life. Some people welcome the progress andanticipate AI to bring benefit to mankind in more fields while some otherpeople insist that AI will ultimately get out of control. And as far as I'mconcerned, I adhere to that AI plays a more of importance role in the future.
First, it is evident that nowadays AIhas been widely applied in our daily life, which provides us with significantproductivity boost both in work and study and great convenience. For example,the extensive acceptance of robots in the manufacturing industry, serviceindustry as well as agricultural industry has greatly liberated us from worklike washing dishes, watering the flowers and assisting students in revisingcompositions and enabled us to save time for more crucial things. In addition,there is no denying that they demonstrate more excellent performance whencompared with human beings.
Second, with the rapid development ofsociety and economic integration, the attractions, retentions and developmentsof talents are becoming major challenges for companies, which subsequently pushthe labor cost to be high and the advent of AI provides a favorable choice forthem, which is the employment of robots. Not only can that measure effectivelyimprove the working efficiency but also they are conducive to saving a largeamount of money for enterprises concerning the perspective of long-termdevelopment. Furthermore, they contribute to the modernization of companiestremendously.
Third, it is predictable that AI islikely to intensify the fierce competition for jobs further when taking thefact into consideration that in the future, AI will displace human beings forvery heavy work with comparatively low cost. However, it is also widelyacknowledged that the extremely awful conditions will unleash people'spotential and it is feasible for them to turn pressure into motivation andchallenge into possibility. Therefore, I persevere in that when confronted withthe pressure from AI, we people possess the indomitable and unyielding will andconfidence to contend with them, which would inspire us to pay attention to theinnovative thinking and devote to be a well-developed person instead of wastingtime and attending on the repetitive work like robots.
Last but not least, it is indispensablefor us to be conscious of the fact that the research and development of robotwill possibly bring some hazards in the future. However, this is not thejustification to obstruct us advancing. What's more, the application of AI isindeed beneficial to us. After all, we will not be us and accomplish thedistinguished achievements today if we think of every potential danger and thengive up before we set out to do something.

百萬同題英文寫作活動
一、背景及意義
“百萬同題英文寫作”活動是由批改網(www.pigai.org)主辦，由中國高校英語寫作教學聯盟和北京語言智能協同研究院指導下舉辦的特色線上活動。2014年4月首屆同題寫作活動由清華大學、北京大學、南京大學、復旦大學、中山大學五校聯合發起，一個月的時間內收集到了來自全國515所學校超過32萬篇學生作品，形成第一個中國英語學習者同題語料庫(www.naew.org)，并發布了《中國學生英語寫作能力調研數據報告·2014高校篇》。
2015年為了能夠更深入的分析中國學生英文寫作能力，發掘大數據的力量，支持中國英語教學工作，同時響應國家四月“全民讀書月”的號召，第二屆“同題英文寫作活動”與當當網第九屆書香節攜手，讓學生“飽覽群書嗅書香，激活智慧書美文”，用一篇篇動人的文章展現中國學生個性風采、提升國際交流能力、鍛煉英文寫作能力。

四、活動形式
本次活動共設置大學(本科及以上)、高職、高中、初中四個組別，活動形式為同主題寫作。
(1)題目設置：
各組題目主題相同，但評分標準不同。 不限制寫作時間、不限學生修改潤色次數 學生習作必為原創，抄襲文章將不被接納
(2)教師參與方式
教師參與活動必須從活動官網引用布置活動題目，作為作業任務布置給自己的學生
教師可在自己的批改網賬戶查看學生參與情況，以及本校本區域的師生參與情況。
(3)學生參與方式
有教師指導的學生有兩種參賽方式
A可通過搜索教師告知的參賽題號答題
B可通過在活動主頁點擊"學生答題"，選中自己的教師進行答題
無教師指導的學生可通過活動主頁選擇，直接答題給句酷批改網參與
抄襲問題：本次活動題目對于超過40%相似的文章將給出提示，以避免抄襲情況。
五、參與激勵
學校激勵:
1、參與學校凡提交有效作文達到2000篇以上可為其建立本次活動的校本語料庫。
注：有效作文指學生提交到本校教師參與活動引用形成的作文號中且非抄襲的學生作文。
2、學生提交作文最先達到5000篇以上的100所學校可獲得5000元助研助學金;
學生提交作文最先達到3000篇以上的100所學校可獲得3000元助研助學金;
學生提交作文最先達到2000篇以上的100所學校可獲得1000元助研助學金;
(注：單校助研助學金金額取最高檔。助研助學金可用于學校獎勵本校在外語教學當中表現突出的老師和學習勤奮刻苦的學生。)
3、學校可派代表參加語言大數據與外語教學研討會。
教師激勵:
1、收到學生有效作文超過10篇的教師，可在活動結束后獲得活動語料庫訪問賬戶。
2、每增加50位學生提交有效作文，教師可獲得一次抽獎機會 學生激勵
1、優秀作品一經選中,可入選出版優秀學生作文集，學生可獲相應稿酬。
2、凡有效提交作文的學生均可獲得一次學生專場抽獎機會。
六、聲明
1、本次活動最終解釋權歸批改網所有。
2、活動參與激勵規則以活動官網公布為準。
