In China, Spring Festival is one of the most important festivals. It is also getting more and more popular in some foreign countries. When Spring Festival comes, it means that a new year comes, and people grow a year older. During the festival, it is very crowded throughout the country.
On the eve of Spring Festival, parents get food, clothes and Spring Festival's goods prepared. The people who work outside come back, and the whole family gets together to have meals and say goodbye to the last year, and welcome the New Year. After the meal, they wait until midnight comes. They set off fireworks then.
On the first morning of the Spring Festival, everyone wears their new clothes and then go to other's homes to celebrate the New Year. Each family sets off fireworks when their guests come, and they take out sweets and peanuts to share. On the following days, they go around to their relatives and friends. The Spring Festival has several meanings. It means people working outside can come back to relax themselves, a new year begins. When spring comes, farmers begin to plant crops and people make a plan for the New Year.
All the people throughout the world pay much attention to it. Our country of course holds some national celebrations to celebrate it. This most traditional festival in China will go on being celebrated in the future.

I'm very glad to have this chance to organize a charity show, so that i can raise money for the people in need.
I have to do a lot of things before the charity show.I should decide who will be present and donate money in this charity show and then get in touch with them. i have to ask the TV stations for help. i hope that they can help to advertise for the show. It can attract many people to come and do good.
i can invite someone to give a speech and introduce this activity in the show . And some singers will make performances. The duties of all of them are to call on people to help the one in need and donate as much as possible.
After the show i will make a summary about it. So if i was asked to organize another charity show,i can be helped from this summary.
I hope this charity show will be a success.

My Classmate Mary
Mary is one of my ClASSmates. we are good friends. She is a little bit special, for it is hard to find a girl so fat in her teens. Someone says, “She seems like a big snow ball with two smiling tiny eyes which can speak. ”
Mary is kind and warm-hearted. When somebody in ClASS falls ill,she goes to attend to him or her. When John has troubles in his studies, Mary always helps him with his lessons. As I am not able to knit a sweater, she lends me hand in doing so. When ClASSes are over, she is always the first to clean the blackboard. When an old teacher has difficulty in walking upstairs, she goes over to support him or her. In a word, whenever she is in need, she never stand by with arms folded.
Although she is so fat, she is quite quick in action and full of energy. You can often see her on the playground, either playing basketball or volleyball. Sometimes, I make fun of her by saying, “You'd better play football as a doorkeeper.” She just tolerantly laughed. It is something that I admire her because she is never in the mood of self-humiliation forher fatness.
An old saying goes that “being lovely makes a person pretty”. I think that it is true of Mary since she is the case in point.
