Ben: I am in charge of the trading department, handling invoices1, shipping2 bills and computing3 freight costs.
Snow: What made you decide to change your job?
Peter: I am working in a small company where further promotion4 is impossible, so I decided5 to change my job. I'd like to find a job which is more challenging.
Notes：
1. What positions have you held before? 就是“你以前是做什么工作的”。hold a certain position，"做某個(gè)職位"。
2. I can do public relations，可以做公關(guān)工作。表示“做某種工作”，就在do后面加上職位的名稱就可以了。
3. How many places have you worked altogether? 你以前一共在幾個(gè)地方工作過(guò)?也就是問(wèn)你已經(jīng)換過(guò)幾份工作了?
4. Would you give me a general description of your present job? 你能描述你一下你現(xiàn)在的工作嗎?也就是想了解一下你現(xiàn)在的工作狀況。
5. Ben把自己的工作簡(jiǎn)單地描述了一下，主要是負(fù)責(zé)了哪些事情，這是考官最想聽(tīng)到的，不用面面俱到，be in charge of something，負(fù)責(zé)某事，也可以說(shuō)be responsible for something.
6. Would you give me a general description of your present job? 那你為什么要辭職呢?Ben回答說(shuō)現(xiàn)在的公司沒(méi)有什么晉升的機(jī)會(huì)了，他希望找一份更加有挑戰(zhàn)性的工作。陳述你辭職的原因的時(shí)候，只要說(shuō)出最主要原因就可以了，千萬(wàn)不要把以前公司的所有缺點(diǎn)意義羅列，特別是不要說(shuō)以前上司和同事的壞話，這樣會(huì)給考官留下非常不好的印象。

The following are the Answer Suggestions for Tough Questions：
1. The first question is: What can I do for you?
Employers2 really don't want a straight answer to this question. They know you want a job. Suggested responses, therefore, should tell employers they gain something by employing you. Answers such as "Actually, I'm here to offer you something--loyal4 and efficient work" or "I think the question is what I can do for you. I'm here to talk about your needs for an expert driver" are good.
2. Second question: Why don't you tell me something about yourself?
Be prepared to talk about your unique qualities. Wind up with something that relates to the job. An example: "I'm a native of Jones County5, raised here and educated at Jones Community College. I have a large number of friends who are loyal to me because I get along with almost any type of person. I've met many of my friends while working as a volunteer in the Habitat for Humanity6 effort in my community, and my experiences there are among the reasons I'd be an excellent construction worker for your company, Mr. (or Ms.) Builder."
3. The third one is: What kind of work are you looking for?
Be as specific as you can with this particular employer3. The best answer to this question will be found in the job description you obtained prior7 to the interview. You can repeat the duties listed for the position for which you're interviewing. Other answers that suggest you want to grow and learn or want to demonstrate8 your good work ethic9 would be "I want a job in which I'll be able to produce for the company and grow along with it" or "I want a job where showing up on time and working hard is compensated10 by a fair wage."
4. The last one is: What do you do best?
This question demands that you praise yourself--something a lot of us are uncomfortable doing. As you prepare for the interview, think through some of your recent successes you can use to give a good answer to this question. It's best if they relate to ways you improved the current business, generated11 new business, or saved money for the company.
