Carrying the message “Share the peace, Share the Olympics. “ The flame will pass through Tibet, cross the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, Travel the Great Wall and visit Taiwan and the 56 Ethnic communities who make up our society. On its journey, the flame will be seen by and inspire more human beings than any previous relay.

　　Good evening everybody! I am honored to participate this final. My name is XXX, and Crystal is my English name. I am from Environmental and Chemical Engineering Department. My major is Environmental Monitoring and Governance Technology. Now let me share my college life with you.

　　Before I attend college, I knew nothing about my future, and just because of the ardor for environment, I chose the major I study now. But I told myself: College life is an exploring process. Therefore, I stepped the way of exploring future.

　　In the early campus life, some teachers told us: As a student, your duty is to study. I nodded. However, the other teachers said: College life is colorful, you should enjoy yourself. “My God! What’s up?” In that period, I was very confused.

　　Later, I did a lot of attempts such as work for the dining room of our school, sold the goods from door to door and played a worker’s roal in a factory on the last summer holiday in Tianjin. Of course,I suffered a variety of setback. But they didn’t shake my determination of

　　exploring future any more.

　　Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I’m to talk about “calm”.

　　Here is a story. Once a little girl in Spain was kidnapped and her mother received a threatening call from the bandits, blackmailing a large sum of ransom. What could the poor mother do? She stayed calm. As she was clear that the child’s eyes were bright enough to reflect the bandits, she called them back after informing the police and said: “I won’t pay any money unless I receive a photo of my daughter!” The bandits took a picture of the girl and sent it to the mother just as expected. So the well-prepared police were able to take skillful analysis of the photo and recognized the bandits in the child’s eyes successfully. Soon the bandits were caught alive.

　　It was great of the young mother to do so, wasn’t it? She was cool-headed, composed and was able to face sudden danger calmly. She socialized with the bandits shrewdly, seized initiative in the fight with them and head off disaster in the end. So I intend to eulogize calm. What is calm? It’s just like the young mother, facing challenge calmly.

　　There is another true story. A few years ago, when Horrified who “had been old” decided to challenge the vigorous “king of boxing” Tyson, there used to be unnumbered people said—either secretly or publicly—that he would fall down under Tyson’s violent fists.
