　　A real test in My life

　　When I was a ten-year-old girl, I was once asked to deliver a speech titled "A real Test in My Life". to talk before the whole class! Just imagine! That will be a “real test to me, then so terribly shy as to tremble at the mere thought of uttering any word with so many eyes set upon me.

　　I had no other choice, though. First was to draft the speech. This just a piece of cake to me; I was a good writer----something to pride myself in. the hard part lied with my oral presentation; to read from the paper was not allowed; I had to give the speech from my memory and in front of such a big audience! A real trial began when I stood on the platform, my mind blank and my legs trembling. Somewhere from that corner came some giggling or what. My eyes became dim and I vaguely sensed some cool dripping down my face. How much time had passed by, I didn't know. My audiences were still waiting, patiently and without signs of rushing me. Gradually found myself back, stammering out my speech. Finally I finished. After what seemed to be a hundred years, I found my audience applauding. I made it!

　　From then on, my fear for talking before an audience disappeared. Actually with my confidence building up, I now turn to be a great speaker. Looking back, I know the greatest obstacle on our way to success is our fear; overcome it and let our potential out, and we will make to our goals.

　　For one thing, the Internet makes the interpersonal communication more convenient. We can contact with each other no matter when and where. The Internet makes full use of time and space. What’s more, we can also share our daily life and knowledge through QQ, MSN, and blog with others. For another thing, the Internet speeds up our interpersonal communication. We can save time to do our work. However, the Internet also brings about many problems, such as safety problems, cheating and so on. Many people spend too much time on the Internet, and they don't have time to interact with person in real life, which result in the absence of ability in communication in reality.

　　一方面，互聯網使人與人之間的交流更方便。不管何時何地我們都可以互相聯系?；ヂ摼W都是充分利用時間和空間的。更重要的是，我們也可以通過QQ，MSN和博客分享我們的生活。另一方面，互聯網有助于我們的人際溝通。我們可以節省時間來工作。然而，互聯網也帶來了很多問題，如安全問題，作弊等等。很多人花太多時間在互聯網上，他們沒有時間和現實生活中的人交流，這導致在現實生活中交際能力的缺失。

　　It has both advantages and disadvantages to interact through the Internet. We can get to the problem in our work and study. Last but not lest, we have to talk with people and develop our ability to communicate in reality.

　　There are many things you should do if you want to excel in college courses. One of the most important things, Ithink, is to take effective notes. The following tips should help you take better notes in your classes.

　　First, attend classes faithfully. Copying another student's notes cannot substitute for hearing the idea in person. Second, develop a system of abbreviation. Using abbreviations for often used words and special terms can speed up your note taking. In addition, be alert for signals of importance: anything written on blackboard, definitions, examples, emphasized words, and repeated ideas. Writing down examples and connections between ideas is also essential. Too many students merely copy the terms the teacher puts on the blackboard; they forget that as time goes by, details that serve as a bridge between the ideas quickly fade. Next, review your notes after class toclassify and expand them. Finally, take notes in every class you attend. Otherwise, you are sure to forget most of what you hear.

　　在現代社會，交通擁擠的問題已經引起了廣泛的關注。關于這個問題，不同的人有不同的觀點。我覺得要解決這個問題我們需要從以下步驟開始。

　　First, limiting the number of private cars is a significant step to solve the problem of heavy traffic. Private car occupies a larger space and it is responsible for traffic jam to a large extent. Less private cars will accelerate the flow of traffic. Second, it is also a good means to open up the special roads for buses. By doing this, the phenomenon that the buses block the street when passengers get on or get off the buses will not occur again. At the same time, it will upgrade the efficiency of buses. Finally, reinforcing punish toward the over-speed cars and drunk driving so as to reduce the rate of traffic accident, and then decrease traffic jam.

　　首先，限制私家車的數量是解決交通擁擠問題的重要一步。私家車占據了較大的空間，在很大程度上它要對交通堵塞負責。私家車會加快運輸量。第二，為公共汽車建立特殊道路也是一個好方法。這樣的話，乘客從公共汽車上下車阻礙了馬路的現象不會再發生。同時，也會提升公交車的效率。最后，加強懲罰超速和酒后駕駛的汽車來降低交通事故的發生率，并減輕交通堵塞。
